Mexico to Manufacture Aircraft
It appears Mexico with its 120 million population is considering getting into the lucrative aviation manufacturing sector. Of course this will mean that they must acquire some expertise and some trading partners to sell to once they build these aircraft. Mexico is looking to team up with the Ukraine to make this happen. Vicenti Fox. Mexico's President met with the Ukraine and offered to build the An-140. Also to do major repairs there as well. The An-140 is a twin engine turbo prop aircraft used primarily for passengers and cargo; although it has also been used in an AWCS configuration for military and security purposes in Russia. Here is a picture of the aircraft: http://aviamir.com.ua/Files/Images/An-140-1.jpg http://homepage.eircom.net/~steven/images/an140awacs.jpg In addition to working on the An-140 Mexico also discussed with President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko the possibility of building and or repairing the Mi Helicopters for the Ukraine. Mexico is sending its team of aviation specialists to the Ukraine to look into manufacturing new parts, spare parts, fuselages and wing assemblies as well as setting up certified repair stations. The Ukrainian President announced the two countries may draft an agreement to protect their investments and relief for problems with double taxation. This agreement does not affect the United States in anyway, but the Mi Helicopter series does include the Mi-24 pictured here: http://www.warmachines.50g.com/_framed/50g/warmachines/helicopters/mi-24/mi-24_1.jpg Not so sure this is a good piece of news for the Department of Homeland Security? That is rather close to our already leaking borders. Although some say that it might keep workers in Mexico and out of our country. Currently there are estimated some 15 million plus illegal aliens from Mexico in the US and the number grows each day. Entering Business Aviation, Part IV: Crafting a Resume Writing a résumé can be one of the most daunting parts of any job search. Quite frankly, it is one of the most important elements in helping you finding work. Fighter Jet Trainers Sport Planes You want a fighter jet as your personal aircraft; do not deny it. You want to travel faster than the speed of sound and play Top Gun in the sky. Essential Oil Skin Care Tips for Frequent Fliers Are you one of those people that has lots and lots of airline miles, so many that if you had a dollar for each one, you could stop working for a living? Do you know exactly where all the Auntie Anne's Pretzels are located at the Dallas-Fort Worth airport? Do you book your flights by typing in the 3-letter airport code instead of the city name into the "Destination" box on-line? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you fly too much - and if you fly too much, chances are, it has taken a toll on your skin!Let's face it: when you fly, you are entering an aluminum box full of bad air consisting mostly of recirculated other-people's-gaseous-disturbances. 37,000 feet up, you are actually grateful for being able to breathe at all, but on the other hand, have you ever taken a close look at a flight attendant's face? Talk about constant dehydration! The proper use of essential oils during your in-flight routine, in addition to having aromatic, anti-bacterial, and therapeutic benefits, can also help you avoid having YOUR skin resemble the Sahara desert or a topological contour map (where lines and wrinkles denote elevation). Fuselage Mounted Laser Vortex Enhancer Directed to Airfoils DARPA has developed a small laser cannon, just like Star Wars to use as a weapon in a fighter plane for air to air combat, destroying enemy missiles or perhaps using a combination later on of Argon or CO2 (depending on altitude) for close air support. Recently it was announced that they would put this new airborne laser system onto fighter jets. Travel Tips For Getting Through the Airport Easier and Quicker Traveling is different now than it was before 9/11. Arriving at the airport even earlier than before, standing in line longer while waiting to pass through security, having luggage x-rayed, and being pulled aside for random security checks make the time it takes to travel more lengthy than it used to be. Sex in a Cessna, Part II Sex in a Cessna or any light plane can be exhilarating and since your flight instructor never trained you how to do this you will need to read all of this several part series of articles, we do not want you screwing things up so to speak. In part one, we explained the need for a practice area and separation between other aircraft, staying out of flight path of other aircraft and setting the aircraft up in level flight. Downed Pilots Hibernating From the Enemy When we watch Oliver North's "War Stories" or the "Wings Discovery Channel" we often see the problematic issues with downed pilots trying to evade the enemy. Business Aviation Networking Notes The process of finding out about a job, getting interviewed, and eventually receiving an offer for employment starts with networking. By networking I don't mean sending hundreds of copies of your resume unsolicited to H. It is amazing what one can do when you stop limiting your mind and go for it.
